beta10

I had a customer today really confused with the color picker related to the quick set balls.

I've made a change to the quickset balls where the color is not changed by the quickset.

I added an "x" on the color tab so closing makes more sense
I no longer toggle the flyin/flyout of the color picker and require using the new "x" I created.

little changes :)

beta9

Well.  is it never ending feature creep or really required.  Frankly I want this correct and I had to add this to beta9.  I was doing my first shoot with beta8 and wanted to reselect the red ball and tweak the color and realized there was no way to tweak a color you always had to start again.  so I reworked the hud to now allow the balls to report their current color so when you either change models or change balls the color picker restores the last used color.

I also added an information button that send you the the Lee Filter website so you can read about the RL filters.  Under RGB entry I also added the ability to enter a lee filter number and it will select that.

Is it finally done?  Maybe?  :D

Thanks again beta testers,, really appreciate the help!

Beta8

Corrine and I have been working doing serious evaluations of the new color picker and we were both agreeing that the old saturation settings were actually better than what was in the beta6 hud.  So we collaborated and have a new update (beta8) (there is no beta7) that uses the old color saturation scheme.  How on the advance color picker menu the grey scale slider has been replaced with a saturation slider.  This was a very worthy update.

Gosh I hope this is the last beta.  Please let me know if anyone finds issues in this release

beta6 - little cleanup

I got some decent feedback on beta5 to create a beta6.  Very minor tweaks.

unless we find something terrible, this beta6 will become 3.3 without changes.  :)

Thanks again everyone for your help supporting the beta.  Couldn't do it with you!

Final Beta release (hopefully) for V3.3 (Beta5)

The one thing that always surprises me is once you have the basic prototype working how much work it really is to make it production quality.  My management always struggles with that in my RL job.

Thanks to the close work of a good colleague (you know how you are!) this release is amazing.  The interface was refined significantly in beta3 and with this release there is a ton of interface issues cleaned up as well as a complete reorganizing of the color choices into a much more coherent system.

There are a list of things that i cleaned up that have been bugging me personally as i used the lumipro in my own work as well as customer feedback.  I've addressed most of them in this beta5 release as well
  1. Authentication system added for future product stuff.  we'll see if i use it but it allows users to wear the hud and select help about and it broacasts an crypto signed message on a secret chat channel that i can then use for handing out free goodies in the future.
  2. Rotation of the sit ball is now repetative.  just click and hold and it rotates
  3. REM type cast checks and doesn't report errors with the talent TPs or logs out
  4. no more derezzing the projectors or sitballs after 4 days.  They announce and become visible.  This was causing problems during set development that took longer than 4 days
  5. the backup server deals with correct color names
  6. help->lighting details reports the correct model's colors, not just the owners colors.
  7. Joystick steering the projector now has an icon vs transparent to address a viewer bug
